Our aim was to develop a compact, exceptionally high-quality analog mixer that prioritizes the most essential and effective controls for intuitive, performative workflows in both studio and live applications. Flexible routing options, extensive connectivity, and CV control over selected parameters ensure deep integration into a wide range of setups.
For maximum transparency, the PM12 features a purist signal path across the input stage, single-knob EQ, aux path, fader stage, and main circuits.
The saturation stage, CV-controllable high- and low-pass filters, and VCA-equipped (and therefore CV-controllable) effects paths provide versatile tonal and dynamic shaping.
For glitch-free, on-the-fly switching, the main signal path employs zero-cross detection, while the filter stage uses VCA-based crossfading to eliminate unwanted artifacts during transitions.
The default configuration offers 12 stereo channels (24 inputs). Ten channels are identical and fully featured, while channels 11 and 12 provide a streamlined feature set. Channels 1–10 can operate in stereo, mono, or layered dual-mono mode.
All 12 stereo channels feature direct outputs, which can be globally configured as preamp, pre-fader, or post-fader.
Two D-sub connectors on the rear panel allow two PM12 units to be linked, enabling higher channel counts in the studio or back-to-back linking for collaborative live performance.
Wide gain range, switchable modes: stereo with Balance, mono with Panorama, dual-mono with input balance summed to centre
One-knob Tilt EQ, optionally switchable to only Hi or Lo shelf EQ. Switchable saturation stage, pre EQ, to be driven by input gain.
High pass and lo pass filters with shared control of cutoff frequencies and spacing between cutoff points. Switchable between parallel and serial mode. Assignable to main signal path and/or effect sends.
Source selectable between pre filter, post filter and post fader, level controllable by external CV
CV Inputs for controlling Fx1...Fx3 levels and Filter frequency and spacing
Balanced Direct Outputs on each channel, source globally selectable between Preamp, Pre Fader and Post Fader

Channel modules 1–10 are identical, fully featured stereo channel strips. Channel modules 11 and 12 combine a streamlined feature set in the lower section with main and monitor controls in the upper section. A minimum of four channel modules must be installed, with blank panels covering any unused slots; additional modules can be retrofitted later, typically by the user.

Channels 11 and 12 always occupy the two rightmost positions.
Channel modules and blank panels can be freely arranged across the 10 leftmost slots.
